Urgent help
If you need help right now
Safe Space is a therapy service, not an emergency service. Nobody here monitors messages or bookings around the clock, and your therapist isn't available between sessions. If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, please use one of the numbers below — they are answered now.
Emergency services
| Where you are | Call |
|---|---|
| Jordan | 911 |
| Türkiye | 112 |
| European Union and much of Europe | 112 |
| United Kingdom | 999 (112 also works) |
| Anywhere else | Your local emergency number |
Free to call, day or night, from any phone. In most of Europe 112 works even from a phone with no SIM card or no network of its own.
Free, confidential helplines
If you're not in immediate danger but need to talk to someone tonight, these directories will find a free, confidential helpline near you — by phone, text or chat, in your own language. You don't need a diagnosis, an appointment, or a reason.
- Find A Helpline — Vetted helplines in over 130 countries, filtered by what you're going through.
- Befrienders Worldwide — Emotional support centres in 32 countries, run by trained volunteers who listen without judging.
What Safe Space can and can't do
- We can offer booked therapy sessions with a qualified therapist, by video.
- We cannot respond urgently. Bookings and messages are not monitored outside working hours, and there is no on-call service.
- If you're already seeing a therapist here, you can still tell them at your next session — but please don't wait on us if you need help tonight.
Once you're safe
When the immediate crisis has passed, talking to someone regularly can help. Whenever you're ready, our therapists are here.
